Interpretation
February 14, 2017I am sitting in a strange room with some strange people that I just met. I look around and start thinking about how I’m feeling within the atmosphere. I observe the people that are with me in the room and think about what feeling I’m receiving from the environment that surrounds me. There is a picture on the wall with a person that reminds me of someone I know from high school. In the corner of the room stands a little flower that my mother always buys and puts on the windowsill of our bedrooms. Because there are a few things in the room that give me the feeling of nostalgia, I feel more comfortable.
It is weird to realize that everyone in that room has a different feeling from every object and person in the room. The person that lives here probably feels a lot more comfortable than the people who don’t. He understands the story behind everything in the room. One little thing in the room, a movement someone makes, a specific word or sentence someone says can make someone think of a situation that they’ve experienced. That one thing can make a person feel so different at that moment.
It’s weird that everyone can feel so different in the same moment, and that you cannot exactly know how others feel at a certain moment. I’m actually quite curious about that. I would like to compare it, and see how different we observe the things and people in a room and with what we both feel a connection with and why.
This subject actually summarizes all subjects I wrote about before. Because everything that we experienced in our lives and everyone who we met, gives us a certain feeling about things and people. Everything in life makes us the person who we are now, makes us live in the place we live in, and makes us be surrounded by the people we know now.
